Hi,

I would like to know where I can find movies with both options:

English AND Japanese Audio.

English AND Japanese Subtitle.

I live in Brazil, but if some online store can ship them to me, that would be great. Also if there is a online service which I can use from here, I would gladly pay for that.

Thank you !

Zensensei, glad it was helpful for you. One of the keys to learning Japanese is to try and spend more and more time using it and less using English. It might take a couple times, but eventually you will start understanding more and more.

Hi Nick,

Great article! Just what I was looking for. I LOVE Studio Ghibli's anime movies too! I've watched them OVER and OVER and OVER again.

Thanks for your tips. I always listen to the Japanese dialogue but just focus on reading the English subtitles. I think your idea of watching it in English and putting on the Japanese subtitles instead is worth a shot. :)

Hi BJ,

Watching movies in Japanese is a great way to learn Japanese, but does require that you have a basic vocabulary. I have written some ideas on how you might get started on that on the comment you left on Common Japanese Words. Best of luck and please contact me if you have any questions.

Hi, Kash. Learning words in context is a great way to learn how to use them. I also find I can remember them better this way.

I have to admit when you learn some words listening to movies and watching TV really helps you understand when and how to use them in conversation.
